Rotary Club of Agoo headed by President Marita C. Llavore organized and inducted an  Interact Club based in President Elpidio Quirino National High School at Taihao Restaurant, Agoo,La Union, August 8.

                 Essential part of the program was the rotarization and a brief seminar regarding the duties and responsibilities of an officer and member of an Interact Club.             

                 The registration of the club to the Rotary International is sponsored by Rotary Club of Agoo.      

                 Through this affiliation,  the name and existence of the club as    INTERACT CLUB OF AGOO-PRESIDENT ELPIDIO QUIRINO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL will be internationally recognized.                 

The Interact Club of Agoo-President Elpidio Quirino National High School, Jericho Padilla, President;Jastine Nardo, External Vice President ;Jeo Giovanni Dacanay, Internal Vice President; Lorna Mae Gali, Secretary;Cyrill Lopez, Treasurer; Lorelyn S.Laron,Asst. Treasurer, Richard Acosta, auditor;Justice Jean Toralba, PRO;Jessa Difunturum, Business Manager; Jeruel Estacio, Peace Officer. The members are

Katherine Ros,Judy Ann Ferrer, Jealyn Villanueva, April Joy Orencia, Jeraldine Dacoycoy, Lester Jay Ollero, Angelica Mae Galdonez, Shaina Mae Campay,Yusuf Elawad and Lyra Mae Vasadre. The said Interact Club composes  of 21 highly selected PEQNHS students  is under the guidance  of their adviser, Rotarian Erwin C. Llavore and co-adviser Jessica P. Mamaril. Interact Club of AGOO-PEQNHS joins BroadcasTreeing

Picture9 Hundreds of Trees were planted during the BroadcasTreeing project  collaborated by Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS,  Department of Environment and Natural Resources  together with group of Broadcast Media at the Dump Site of Municipality of Agoo last  September, 2012.

Group of the Broadcast Media includes Love Radio, Aksyon Balita ,DZAG and  Bomboo Radio.

                  The purpose of the project is to support National and Local Greening and Clean Air  through rehabilitation of the denuded forest nearby dumpsite.  //:erwin(click the headline to see more photos of it)

Officers facilitate in Medical Mission

Picture11The officers of the Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS with Rotaract of DMMMSU took an active part in the Medical Mission last  September 29,2012 at San Nicolas East held in Innerville resort and hotel . They facilitated the distribution of the medicines, listing the beneficiaries and ensuring  proper serving to the people of the said barangay.

Part of the activity is the health seminar on dengue fever, diarrhea, leptospirosis and colds by Dr. Eliseo Laron.

                  Drill on proper hand washing was also demonstrated among the children to ensure sanitation before the supplemental feeding.                             //:erwin(click the headline to see more photos of it)

 Interact Club advocates nature protection

Picture13Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS pursued its commitment for protection, preservation and enhancement of mother earth.  Driven by its vision, the club would like to become influential in its advocacy for preservation of resources not only to the school premises but also in the community where help is most needed.

On July 14, 2012, the Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS, together with the other clubs like Rotary Club of Agoo and YES-O officers of Macalva Elementary School went to San Nicolas West to conduct malunggay tree planting and coastal cleaning.

Picture12In the coastal cleaning, the Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS were able to clean almost a kilometer coastal line of the said  barangay. Majority of  garbages taken were plastics and other non-biodegradable wastes which is very dangerous to species of marine animals. The event had given the chance for students to actively realize the value of  caring for mother nature.  Prior to coastal clean up, the club took charge in the malunggay tree planting along the roads of San Nicolas West. The clubs were assisted by the barangay kagawad and   Barangay Captain the tools needed for the said activity.   

The scheduled activities were ended by a team building, leadership talks and orientation of roles and responsibilities as members of the club headed by Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS adviser Rotarian   Erwin C.    Llavore, Rotary President of Rotary Club of Agoo, Marita C. Llavore. The other Rotarians were RCA Auditor, Sabina Gamboa, Rotarian Thelma Ballesteros.  //:erwin(click the headline to see more photos of it)

Screening of members, conducted

Aiming to select the best members among the students of President Elpidio Quirino National High School, a  screening examination was conducted last August 2,2012.  

The screening test consists of biographical information test,  which give information about their family background and their special interests and talents. Picture14           

There were also interview conducted  to ensure that the students goal is in line with the objective of the club as directed by the constitution.

 The examination conducted  tested  the time management skills of students and the decision making skills in spite of time pressured situation.   Through the test, the students were able to bring out their brilliant ideas regarding nature preservation and  charity services. There were only 22 students who passed the screening among hundreds of examinees. Members of the screening team includes the Rotarians of Agoo headed by President Marita Llavore and Agnes Laron, Director on Club membership, the adviser of Interact club of Agoo, Rtn Erwin Llavore, and Rtn Thelma Ballesteros.    //:erwin(click the headline to see more photos of it)

 

Interact Club Of Agoo-PEQNHS joins JENESYS Re-echo Seminar  2012

Picture16The Interact Club Of Agoo-PEQNHS with their adviser, Erwin C. Llavore participated in the Jenesys Re-echo Seminar with the theme of “Jenesys 2012: Youth Empowerment for Environmental Awareness and Disaster Preparedness”. It was held on November 17,2012 at Saint Louis College, City of San Fernando.

     The seminar was organized by the Rotaract of Saint Louis College and the President of the Interact of San Fernando Community based. Speakers were the students who studied in Japan Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for students and Youths Programme. There are 13 participants from IAC including their adviser. The    Interactors from Bacnotan National High school also participated in the seminar.

     Together they watched a video presentation which contains the 3.11 Earthquake and Tsunami. They have witnessed  how the earthquake and tsunami damaged Japan especially in Sendai. They have also shown the culture of Japan asa resilient nation. They alsoplayed an activity,called “Investment Game”.Picture15

      After finishing all activitiesthey were given a certificate of appreciation which was signed by the president of Rotaract SLC, Ms. Loribeth-Ann I. Cepriaso and the Adviser of Rotaract SLC, Ms. Rosena Palabay and Mr.Marc Deo Directo the president of SFC Community based.

Interact Club ratifies its Constitution

Picture17 The constitution of Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS was reviewed and  ratified by the members and officers of the club last July 4, 2012 in the laboratory room of President Elpidio Quirino National High School.

              There were some  changes implemented to ensure that it will be fitted with the culture and environment of Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS.

The main form of the constitution was based on the international standard constitution of Interact Club.

The final copy of the constitution was noted and  approved by their adviser, Rtn Erwin Llavore with the school pricipal , Virgilio C. Boado and the head teachers who areconsidred as internal consultants of the clubs activities being a school based Interact Club.

              Each member of the club was given a copy of the constitution for better understanding and future reference. This will help the interactors understand their function in the community.(click the headline to see more photos of it)

643962_477271492306502_112388904_n(September 15,2012,Tarlac Events Place, Tarlac City )Rotary Club of Agoo sponsored the participation of Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS   to the DRIA(District Rotaract interact Assembly 2012 ).  The Interact Club of Agoo-PEQNHS was represented by President Jericho Padilla, Secretary Lorna Mae Gali and Treasurer Cyril Lopez together with their adviser,Rotarian Erwin Llavore.

 The particiants from RC Agoo were Pres. Marita, Auditor Savvy ,Rtn Thelma and Director Agnes Laron who accompanied the Rotaract representatives from DMMMSU-Agoo.

           The assembly with the theme New Generations: young advocates for Peace focused on Leadership training aimed to develop personality and professionalism among participants.

Through this event, the members were able to collaborate future projects  and establish strong interaction among other clubs in North and Central Luzon.   erwin//:(click the headline to see more photos of it)
